Ben Knapen
Chair of the Board
Ben Knapen studied history and monetary relations and worked as a foreign correspondent in Germany, the USA, and Indonesia. After 30 years in the private sector, he transitioned to public service, holding roles such as Minister of Foreign Affairs (2021–2022), State Secretary for Foreign Affairs (2010–2012), and parliamentary leader in the Senate (2019–2023). He has also been editor-in-chief of NRC Handelsblad, director-general at the European Investment Bank, and a professor at Radboud University.

Diana Eggleston
Secretary of the Board
Diana Eggleston leads an international program to attract and support foreign NGOs and impact entrepreneurs establishing themselves in The Hague. With a background in corporate strategy consulting and a focus on implementation, she leverages her multilingual and multicultural expertise to connect stakeholders across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Having worked across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, Diana has extensive experience coordinating international teams and delivering impactful results.

Jill Wilkinson
Treasurer of the Board
Jill Wilkinson is an international leader with extensive experience in industry, consulting, government and not for profit. She is dedicated to advancing sustainability, peace and justice. As the managing director of The Hague Humanity Hub, Jill drives cross sectoral connections and the development of the peace and justice ecosystem of the Hague. Jill has an MBA from York University and a B.A. in German and Linguistics from the University of Toronto.

Maja Groff
Board Member
Maja Groff, Esq., an international lawyer based in The Hague, is the Convenor of the Climate Governance Commission and Co-Chair of the International Anti-Corruption Court’s Coordinating Committee. She has worked on multilateral treaties, chaired The New Institute’s Planetary Governance Program, and co-authored Global Governance and the Emergence of Global Institutions for the 21st Century. A recipient of the New Shape Prize, she advises organizations promoting ethical business and governance.

Jasper Meyers
Board Member
Jasper Meyers spent 32 years as in-house legal counsel for AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia Networks, focusing on M&A, project finance, and later on mobile networks and cloud software. He began his career with Dentons in Toronto and Allen & Overy in Amsterdam and holds degrees from the University of Cambridge (Philosophy) and McGill University (JD, BCL). Jasper has also served on the boards of an international school, an alumni association, and a technology startup.

Sophie Kloos
Managing Director
Sophie Kloos has nearly a decade of experience in senior management and operations promoting access to justice. Passionate about human rights and combating grand corruption, she previously served as Director of the asylum NGO Asylos and worked with the UNDP Joint Migration and Development Initiative. Sophie holds an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics and an MA in Political Science and International Relations from Yeditepe University, Istanbul.

Erik Zonneveld
Programme Associate
Erik Zonneveld is a recent LL.M. graduate in Law & Economics from Utrecht University and holds an LL.B. in International & European Law from The Hague University. He specializes in Public International Law and Human Rights and has been involved in the IACC campaign since 2022 as an intern at III.
